Hello all!

Happy holidaze, hope everyone is having a good end of 2009!

So there are two new releases ready for ordering now, here are the details and a photo down at the end:

MACH II "Mach II" LP (OLR-041): At long last the debut full LENGTH release by these Cleveland rippers, 8 songs that will have you playing air guitar and banging your head without even knowing why! Comes in an official full printed cover and everything, this thing is a jammer! $12

RTX "Vampyre Love" 45 (OLR-042): The first single in the "It's a Fuckin Boot!" live series, this one is a one-sided vinyl with an etched b-side, came out looking and sounding great! The song is of course a live cover of the Pentagram classic , done with the RTX style and twist infused while still respecting the original tune. In a hand stamped sleeve, limited to 200 numbered copies. And as a side note if you want to hear the absolute original version of this you can also check out the VICTOR GRIFFIN "Late For An Early Grave" CD on Outlaw with his original demo version, see the catalog page. But back to biz, the RTX single is $6

Postage: For those who want both new releases I'll do what I did last time and offer a slight discount which would make it $23 postpaid for the LP+45 as a set by media w/ confirmation in the US, or $33 postpaid by air mail for the LP+45 as a set anywhere in the world. Hope that seems fair!

If you only want one or the other the postage is as follows:
MACH II s/h: US=$4 and World=$12
RTX 45 s/h: US=$3 and World=$6
or need some other combinations please let me know, I'll figure it out for you.

Confirming order: As always, please write to me and confirm I have the items you want and I'll confirm that you should submit payment via paypal. I only have about 75 copies of each of these titles for sale via my mail order so they will probably go quick.

Thanks to everyone for their continued support of the label- there's some great things planned for 2010, so here's to keeping the train rollin!
Later!
Omid

Hello all-

Thank you all so much for the great response and orders that poured in for the new releases. Most of the copies I had of all three titles were sold within the first 48 hours, it was a whirlwind! SO, I'm posting this message to let you know if you had wanted to order from me but hadn't gotten around to it yet- please write to ask me what you were looking for before you send in any more payments.

Also, there are copies of all three releases that will be going out to distros around the world, here is a list of places that will be carrying titles, I have listed which titles they will be carrying next to their site link.
As far as shipping these, it's taken a while to get all the orders ready, but all small orders shipped yesterday, and all of the wholesale orders will ship on Monday. They are going by media w/ delivery confirmation so give a week or so for them to get there but they will arrive.

Keep an eye out for emails about more new Outlaw Recordings releases coming soon! The full length debut LP by MACH II is at the plant, along with a one sided live single by RTX doing a cover of Pentagram's "Vampyre Love", both of them rule!

Here is the list of distros and stores and which titles they picked up, they might not be on their sites just yet because they haven't gotten them, but check back if you want them. And while you're there take a look at their other stuff too- all of these folks have great mail orders! see here:

* AJNA Offensive: http://www.theajnaoffensive.com/ (Corpus Rottus, Barbatos, and Symptoms!)
* NWN Prod: http://www.nwnprod.com/ (Corpus Rottus, a few Barbatos)
* Hells Headbangers: (Corpus Rottus & Barbatos) http://www.hellsheadbangers.com/
* Needleteeth Records: http://www.needleteeth.com/ and http://www.myspace.com/needleteethrecords (Corpus Rottus, a few Barbatos)
* Legion of Death: (Barbatos) http://www.legionofdeathrecords.com/
* Planet Metal: (Corpus Rottus & Barbatos) http://www.myspace.com/planetmetal
* Rockadrome: (Corpus Rottus & Barbatos) http://www.rockadrome.com/
* Troubleman Unlimited (Symptoms) http://www.troublemanunlimited.com/store/

Also, a lot of people have been asking about back catalog stuff- as you can tell from my catalog page on this site most of my releases are sold out through me. However, I am updating the catalog page with some links to the Scratch Distribution site (a distributor in Canada I have worked with in the past) they still have copies of some of my very old and sold out titles on their site for people who may want to get them from them.

Thanks!
Omid/Outlaw Recordings

Alright, that was a blur, but in the 48 hours since I posted these releases for sale most of them have flown out the door! The BARBATOS record is basically sold out, the CORPUS ROTTUS is moving along too and same with SYMPTOMS. A lot of people took advantage of the "combo triple pack" deal which was cool, I appreciate you checking out all the new stuff in one shot! I will post links to some distros and stores who will have copies of the BARBATOS (and other titles) here shortly after I send out their copies so that people who didn't get it from me will have another chance to get their hands on this LP.

Thanks for your emails, orders, and support!
Cheers!
Omid

Hello Friends!

So 2007 & 2008 were slow years in the Outlaw camp, a lot went down and there was only a release per year for those two years! But things are back on track and some new releases are finally coming out! I'm very happy with the way all three of these 12"s came out (well one of them is a full LP), and hope you all dig them too! I am offering a special package deal to those who may want to check out all three releases so you can save on postage, you can read about that under the descriptions. And also, there's a photo attached of the three releases for those who like visuals!

*********************************************

CORPUS ROTTUS "Nihilism" one sided 12" (edition of 150, OLR-038): This is a monster that I am so proud to see being preserved to vinyl. CORPUS ROTTUS was part of the metal scene where I grew up in the Northern Virginia area, and though they actually hailed from Delaware they became friends with King Fowley and DECEASED and made their mark on the scene down there in the late 80's/early 90's. They released the brutal "Intensified Gore" 45 and "Rituals of Silence" cassette on King's "With Your Teeth" record label in 1991, and the "Rituals...." got licensed and released on LP by the Damnation Distribution label in Holland the same year. In 1992 they recorded an 8 song demo which would be their last, the band broke up soon after the recording. Earlier this year, singer Bryon "Bundy" Swafford resurfaced, and through a chance internet meeting a friendship was struck and this release is the result. The 8 songs from that 1992 demo are what has been put to vinyl on this one sided 12", housed in a stickered sleeve modeled after the CORPUS ROTTUS stickers the band used to make on sticker paper back in "the day"! Musically to my ears it's even more intense than the "Rituals..." LP, it takes a nod from some of the incredible grind and death that was coming out at the time and rolls it into one fist to the face! Think along the lines of the best of the early 90's Earache movement (early Barney-era NAPALM DEATH crossed with ENTOMBED with their CORPUS ROTTUS twist added in). Also includes what is in my opinion one of the best drum fills ever by Kevin, it sounds like he is on a revolving stool and goes a full 360 turn on the kit! As stated above this is an edition of 150 numbered copies and it is $10.

BARBATOS "Razor Leather Live!" LP (edition of 200, OLR-039): You know that these guys kill, so probably don't need to tell you as much about them. When Battletorn was in Japan in 2008 we played with ABIGAIL, and Yasuyuki and I hit it off and kept in touch, eventually a release was sure to happen! And it did- with this live LP which is the second LP in the Outlaw Recordings "It's a Fuckin' Boot!" series of live LPs (the first was the BOULDER "Unleased in the Midwest" many years back). Modeled after the old 70's bootleg style LPs this comes in a plain sleeve with the printed insert taped to the front cover. Features 10 songs recorded live in Tokyo in 2008, you know what these guys are all about.... "Rockin Metal Motherfucker", "Red Leather Bitch", "Drink Till Death" and many more! Features members of ABIGAIL, CUTTHROAT, GATES, SIGH, etc. And of the 200 copies that were made about 120 of them were pre-sold and spoken for before it was even completed, so get yours before the rest are gone! This LP is a numbered edition of 200 and is $12.

SYMPTOMS "Symptoms" one sided 12" (edition of 150, OLR-040): The first Nashville band I have releases since moving here, these guys kick it out on this 8 song debut 12". Great punk in the vein of old BLACK FLAG but with a UK punk/hardcore influence too, it's a good mix. Catchy songs with hooks, comes in a silk screened sleeve that the band themselves made, looks and sounds killer! This 12" is a numbered edition of 150 and is $8.

*********************************************

ORDERING: Please send me an email (outlawrecordings at gmail.com) telling me what titles you want and where you live, and if you can pay by PAYPAL. I will send you a total with s/h that you can send payment for. All PAYPAL payments can go to this address.

PACKAGE DEAL: The total for the three new releases would be $30 if you got all three, so if you get them in the US I will offer a half price discount for the postage for the set, so instead of being $6 s/h for postage it would only be $3. So basically you can have all three postpaid for $33! And I will also offer the same $3 off shipping for overseas friends who order all three too.

WHOLESALE: There are enough left of these titles for me to wholesale them, so if you run a distro or store and want wholesale please tell me how many copies you need and I will get you a price. But I do not do trades, sorry. I have my work cut out for me getting my own releases out and on the streets so I don't do a distro or trade. Thanks!

JAPANESE FRIENDS: Copies of all three of these releases are on the way to Record Boy in Tokyo and they should have them available for ordering very soon. Please consider placing your order from them if you are in Japan as it will probably save you postage and it is good to support your local record shop! Record Boy is a classic Japanese shop run by great people, we want them to have good fortune and business through these years so please contact them.

Thank you all for your continued friendship and support! The label is coming up on it's 10 year anniversary in January of 2010, can't believe it's been that long! It's been a fun ride and it's not over yet! As my friend King of Metal said it best, let there be fun! And I would add to that let there be vinyl!

Thanks!
Omid/Outlaw Recordings

Heard som very sad news today: Dickie Peterson from BLUE CHEER died this morning after battling cancer. May he always be remembered for his contribution to creating some of the heaviest music ever. I had the chance to see BLUE CHEER live on a few occasions and met him once, was an honor.

And this is how much I believe that BLUE CHEER was one of the most important bands ever- here is a photo of the different pressings I have of their earth shaking 1968 debut LP "Vincebus Eruptum".

BLUE CHEER rules. Rock in Peace Dickie. Loud.

10/7/09

So these three releases listed below are ALLLLLMOST ready, there were some delays due to glitches with pressing plates, getting new ones made for one of the LPs, new test pressings, etc, etc. It always takes longer than expected but this round got delayed more than I've ever experienced. Should be out by November though, I want to get all three on the street at the same time to make it easier for people to order stuff together instead of shipping three different packages (for those who will want more than one of these releases!).

Check back soon, it will happen sooner than later!

6/13/09

Alright! Here's the latest, there are three or four Outlaw releases set to drop, not sure which will come out in which order but all will be out sooner than later. Here they are:

CORPUS ROTTUS - one sided 12" of unreleased 1992 demo by this legendary Deleware death band!

BARBATOS - "Razor Leather Live!" a live LP on the "It's a Fuckin' Boot" series by these Japanese thrashers, beer.... metal.... hell!

MACH II - "1 to 5" the full length by Clevelands finest, a hard rockin metal masterpiece! This will be a three way joint release between Shifty, Outlaw Recordings, and Maniacal Records!

SYMPTOMS - 12" by a great metal punk band, my first Nashville band release!

So yeah, keep your ears open, these will be out soon! Though they will follow along the same lines as the first MACH II release as far as "Livin Easy" editions (not numbered, no glitzy inserts) they are still limited and sell out fast so watch for them. F**K the hype, let's get back to the music!

2/28/09

Daaaaaaaaaaammmmnnnnnnnn.... that was a LONG time without an update on this site!

Well, can't take all the credit for that! It was a long year, had to make an unplanned move, didn't have my computer set up anywhere and was living out of a duffel bag for six months so the Outlaw Site was NOT updated! And yet it didn't stop the Outlaw machine!

There was a release that came out in that time, the debut 12" single by MACH II! It came and went like the breeze, so if you didn't get it I'm sorry- but the band may still have some copies! We only did 150 of them, one sided 12"s in silkscreened sleeves- all of them hand etched on blank side.

But there was NO insert, NO numbering, NO poster, NO patch or anything of that sort, it was the antithesis of the now standard DIE HARD editions. The MACH II release was the first of the taking it back to basics mentality on Outlaw- it was a "Livin' Easy Edition". Who wants to die hard when you can live easy?!?! I'll post photos and add that 12" to the discography soon, but again- if you didn't get one from me google the band and contact them- they may still have some copies.

More releases are being planned and there will be some new Outlaw wax in 2009!

Never surrender!

4/26/08

So the first Outlaw Recordings release in a while came out this year, we got the BATTLETORN & MGT "No Mercy Attack!" split Japan Tour 45 out! We took all our copies to Japan and sold them on the tour, so we're totally out of them. But the band MGT from Japan may still have a few copies, so if you search them out and contact them through their web site you may be able to get one from them. The Japan tour was amazing, many details, photos, things posted on the different BATTLETORN web sites!

The next release planned is a one sided 12" by MACH II, which is a Cleveland hard rock/heavy metal band featuring members of BOULDER and MIDNIGHT. It smokes. They have a web site up so you can check them out if you like. Keep your ear to the ground on that!

12/31/07

Wow, 2007 came and went eh!?!? This marks the first year since the label's inception that nothing came out. There have been a lot of other things happening, so I guess it is what it is, but the label is not done... just dormant for a while!

There is a release coming out first thing next year- I just sent in the masters to get the vinyls made today, it is a split 45 featuring the band I play in, BATTLETORN and MGT from Japan. BATTLETORN is going over to Japan for 6 shows in March of 2008, and this limited tour single with MGT (who set up the tour) will be released to coincide with it. There will be 200 copies, it should be cool, so drop a line if interested in one!

Have a great new years, and until then.........

6/16/07

Outlaw Recordings is moving to a new town next week! The new HQ are in glorious Nashville, TN!!!

Have to get settled in and will get back on track getting some new releases together in the future. I know I've had a lot of things on deck and simmering for a while, but once we get down south I hope to get some of these things out finally!

2/16/07

Wow.. after a 5 year delay in finishing the inserts for the last 25 copies of this, the last of the correct pressings of the BANG picture disc LPs are done! It took me a whole day of printing and for the 25 inserts that came out right, there were 25 that had to be tossed- but at least it's DONE at long last! Get 'em while they last- see catalog page for ordering info!

1/19/07

Happy new years to all! The test pressing picture discs are sold out, as are a couple more titles... hopefully in 2007 I can get a few things out to fill out the list of stuff available for ordering again!

12/14/06

Just was in the 'vault' looking at some stuff that had accumulated, and found these boxes of test pressings I'd had here for almost 4 years... back when I had these made in Fall of 2002 I had planned on making silkscreened bags for all my pic disc test pressings- but the ink you have to use is this toxic stuff which you have to wear a mask to print... to make a long story short here we are 4 years later and it never got printed so I just printed some paper inserts for them- and am putting them out there if anyone wants one. There were 10 copies of each made, they are blank white picture discs for the VYNDYKATOR and BAD WIZARD albums I released, and come with #'ed inserts. I've never sold off test pressings of anything I've done on this site, so as far as pricing we'll say $15 each because they were expensive to have made back when I had it done! But they're pretty cool if you've never seen a pic disc test.

Besides that I'll sign off for the year- happy holidays to everyone and hope all is well!

later,
Omid

11/27/06

Been a long time since the last update, sorry about that! A lot has happened- life keeps going and there hasn't been as much time for label stuff these days! The only release that is still in the works and will definitely be out at some point soon is the JACKIE BODIMEAD "Don't Believe In Love" reissue CD- which at this point will probably be out early next year.

Last week we lost of one of our friends and members of a group that released a record on this label- Rob Oriani from VYNDYKATOR passed away. Our respects to his family and friends, he was a killer metal guitarist and will be missed. Crank up your VYNDYKATOR vinyl in his honor.

In strangely timed and related news, I got back a few copies of a couple of out of print and long sold out from the label titles from the distributor- which included a few copies of the VYNDYKATOR black vinyl version of the 'HSFH' album. Also in there were a few copies of the BOULDER 'Unleashed in the Midwest' LP. So if anyone out there never got these two items, drop me a line- you have a second chance.

3/1/06

Well, once again, time flew by, almost five freakin' months since the last update! What can I say? A lot going on in other areas of life... BATTLETORN is moving along, we stripped down to a two piece and have recorded a new record. Plus, we're going to the UK for a week long tour next month! That's gonna rule!

But, what you're here for is music, OUTLAW RECORDINGS style, and I'm VERY happy to announce that the THOR "Mutant" CD is FINALLY ready!!! Yes, it's taken a few years to get this baby together.. it's gone through many stages of development and such, but the end result is a package I hope you all will dig! It's a very unique one, basically what we've assembled is a CD housed in an LP cover (a-la the DEATH SS "Horror Music" set that came out in Italy a few years back). So all you CD buyers will get to experience the LP sleeve, and inside wll be a CD version of this album featuring 4 more unreleased bonus tracks from the vault and an rare radio interview from 1984!

It comes in the original "Mutant" gatefold LP sleeve with a new insert featuring liner notes on the new songs, and there are only 500 #'ed copies! These are all on a pro-printed silver studio-CDRs, I went back to my roots of having small run CDs made by a studio uptown like I did for a few early releases! They are well done, silver with a screened title on top, and came out great! Since it's not a big run CD, we can afford to put these out at an even cheaper cost than usual CDs, and are listing this one at just $8!!

Now, after I assemble and FINALLY get this thing out there, there are 3 albums that I hope to have come out pretty soon after this in the spring, those being the DESTRUCTOR, ENEMY SOIL, and NORTHERN LIGHTS albums! At that point, basically everything that I've had in the pipeline will be out, with the exception of a couple long term ideas that will hopefully come to fruition one day too!

One more thing real quick, I have about 30 copies of this BANG 's/t' LP picture disc mispressing version sitting here that I am GIVING away with orders (all I ask is you pay the postage), so PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE, if you like heavy heavy duty rock then do yourself a favor and ask me for one of these, they're FREE!!! They have a pressing flaw which makes them skip into the first track on side two, and the pixilation on the photo of side two is off, but they sound/look good enough that they don't deserve to be in a land fill, so TAKE THEM OFF MY HANDS and enjoy them! They've been in my kitchen for years, I can't open my fridge because I have too much stuff in here- HELP!!!!!

That's the story for now folks, hope you're all doing well and talk to you soon!

10/14/05

Been over two months since I've gotten to update the site! wow... time is flying by! Things are well in NYC, except for the week of non-stop rain!

So, a couple of things have come to the surface, the first being that the THOR "Mutant" CD is about to be unleased any day! It's going to be a small custom run CD, and will be housed in an LP cover! Basically, when I got the THOR "Mutant" LPs made, there was some kind of mixup at the plant and they made 500 extra LP covers. They've been sitting in my storage facility waiting for something to happen with them, but I don't plan on doing another pressing of "Mutant" on vinyl...

Now, we want to do a CD of this, and so my idea was to house the CD version in the extra covers for the LP! This will make it look way cooler than a regular CD obviously (since LP covers are so much larger and beautiful!), and it will also make it so that I can sell this much cheaper since we already have the sleeves! It will feature some bonus tracks not on the LP version. Expect this to hit the streets on Halloween. That's my goal!

Besides that, there are two different "It's A Fuckin' Boot" LPs about to be unleashed, those being the DESTRUCTOR "Cleveland Was MADE For Metal!" album which I believe is from their first live show in 1984, and then the ENEMY SOIL "Nail In The Coffin" LP will follow soon after!

Lastly, there is a plan formulating to re-issue the long out of print and hard to find JACKIE BODIMEAD "Don't Believe In Love" album! She has surfaced over in the UK and is in touch with Greg Hart (IF ONLY) and he is setting this thing up! It will feature liner notes, pix, and bonus track(s?) just like the IF ONLY "Destiny"! Very exciting stuff!

And, one more Outlaw item hit the graveyard, that being the THEO album which sold out this week! There are a few titles that are sold out through me, but are still available from my distributor for those who may be interested. They are called SCRATCH RECORDS and they still copies of the VYNDYKATOR vinyl, the BOULDER live LP, and the PLACE OF SKULLS album- all of which I've been out of for a while! Click here to get to their site! Scratch Records!

8/10/05

So we're back from the BATTLETORN tour and here's the deal with what's going on at Outlaw. Basically, it goes like this... Outlaw Recordings, which has been a big part of my life for the past 5 years is going to have to take a new spot in the bigger picture. I just finished school in June, and am going to have to pull in the label a bit so that it's at a level that's managable while I do the rest of the things I plan on doing with my life. I'm planning to try and keep the label going forever if possible, putting out at least a release or two a year as time permits. But I'm not going to be able to keep up the pace as it's been going.

But, before this happens there are a couple things in the pipeline that I hope to get out, so keep your eyes peeled! Thanks for all your interest and support over the years! It couldn't have happened without ya'll!

In the meantime, two more items hit the 'Outlaw Graveyard' this week (meaning they're sold out), those are the DECEASED picture disc and the PLACE OF SKULLS cd-ep.

6/11/05

Wow, has it really been almost 6 weeks since the last update!?!? Well, NOBODY won the contest- but the answer is that the first release on Noise Records, which was originally known as (Total) Noise was BITCH "Be My Slave". Noise was a division of 'Modern Music' company according to the labels of the early releases!

PLEASE NOTE!!!!!

OUTLAW RECORDINGS WILL BE CLOSED FROM June 17-July 20th!!! This is so we can do the BATTLETORN "Wild, Blind, and Screaming" tour of the US!!! Check our our site for info, come out to a show if you're in one of these towns..click here! BATTLETORN . So I'll talk to you all when we return! Thanks!

4/24/05

Ok, so this contest thing is causing some confusion and controversy! As I stated below, the first release on Noise is DEFINITELY not the "Death Metal" compilation LP!!! I know this because I own two copies of this album (there were two different sleeves released), and it is NOISE-006! There are FIVE releases before it!

And what makes it even more interesting is that Tony found this on the Noise Records official site - a bio which states that "Death Metal" was their first release! Funny how people like to 'rewrite history' like that! I bet they WISH it was their first release, since it's their most notable from the early days and ended up coining a term/name for an entire genre with it's title, but it is NOT their first release!

The contest is still rolling on... and if anyone has early Noise Records releases (from the first 10 catalog #'s) send the titles in, I would like to put together a proper list of their releases, since the label themselves doesn't seem able to do so!

A couple titles entered the "outlaw graveyard" this week, including the BOULDER "Unleashed.." LP. However, my distributor in Canada may still have some, check the Scratch Records page under my links. A couple other titles are about to sell out, the THEO album, the BOULDER cd is almost gone... a few oldies but goodies!

4/21/05

The last of the April 2005 Outlaw blowout arrived today, the BOULDER "Degenerates" singles are in! It came out great, in a nice b/w pic sleeve and all- with a tombstone on the cover, which I would assume subtley symbolizes that these are supposed to be the last recordings by this great band. Please see the ordering page for more info on this release. Also, details about the 7 different insert styles that we used for the BOULDER live album are now detailed on the page for that LP.

Also, I've decided to have the FIRST Outlaw Recordings contest! Here's how it'll work- I will award a FREE copy of one of the three new releases (their choice), to the first person to answer the following question: what was the FIRST release on the classic German label Noise Records, which was at the time known as (Total) Noise? This will be interesting to see if ANYONE out there knows this. It's an obscure metal fact... good luck! Contest ends when somebody gives me the right answer!

Contest update: thanks to those who have sent in answers, but no winners yet! Many people seem to think it was the "Death Metal" comp, but that was in fact Noise #6. The "Rock From Hell" comp was Noise #3. So, before you guess them- neither of these is the answer!

4/12/05

Man, when it rains it rains METAL! Both the VICTOR GRIFFIN & MIDNIGHT CD's came in today! Both look/sound great, and are available for ordering! Victor CD has 2 bonus tracks not on vinyl version, and MIDNIGHT cd features many unreleased tracks!

4/10/05

So the "Undercover Bangers" acetates were completed yesterday, but are basically all spoken for so they've gone straight from the "future plans" section to the "graveyard"! They were a just for fun kinda thing anyway, they aren't super hi-fi real vinyl or anything- but cool for the kult metal maniacs!

The other three new releases should be in here in the next week or so, the VICTOR GRIFFIN cd, the MIDNIGHT cd, and the BOULDER single. Keep an eye out! Testing!

4/6/05

Ok, gonna try something new on here, which I hope will make it easier to just check in and see what's happening in the Outlaw Camp! I will just put all news/update info here when I update the site into a single section so you don't have to scroll around to see what I changed/updated! cool!? There's a lot to report, so this extensive debriefing should cover it all I hope! haha...

Alright, first of all, everyone should get the new OCTOBER 31 album, it totally crushes and I think it may be the album of the year so far, and could take the title all the way! It's on Metal Mike P's label Manical Records, and you can email them at maniacalrecords@aol.com for further information!!! It comes in an amazing gatefold sleeve, and the first 300 copies come with a bonus single! Old school, support this releases, it is TRUE METAL!!!!!!

Ok, now that I've rambled enough about some other labels release, let me tell you what's up here! Well, I got the discs for the acetate "Undercover Bangers" 45s by BOULDER and OCTOBER 31 in last week, but I haven't had the chance to make the covers! Both of these releases are in editions of 26 copies, so are pretty much already sold out. Total kult releases- I had to do a couple because I was feeling 'out of touch' with that side of Outlaw after doing a few 'big' run releases. It was started to have fun and make little crazy shit like this, so I gotta keep that alive!

A LOT is happening out in Cleveland.. the two joint releases I'm doing with SHIFTY RECORDS and MY MINDS EYE records are both almost ready to go. The first is the BOULDER single of their last three songs they recorded which just absolutely rip like everything they do! Next, the MIDNIGHT anothology CD is almost back from the plant too!

Next, in the PLACE OF SKULLS & VICTOR GRIFFIN camp... we have big news too! Evidently, POS, is not breaking up after all, and are set to go to Europe next week to embark on a tour which will include them playing the DOOM SHALL RISE festival! Good luck on that trip guys, sounds awesome, and if anyone lives over there in those areas, GO SEE THEM!!!!! Then, the VICTOR GRIFFIN "Late For An Early Grave" CD version is printed and on the way to me from the plant! So I should have those by next week probably!

Catalog updates- well the BOULDER "Live In The Midwest" LP is amost sold out, as is the BOULDER "Ripping Christ" CD (after being out for 5 years!). Also, sales of RANCID DECAY are brisk in Japan at a couple stores that are carrying it, one of which is the great RECORD BOY in Tokyo, and also PUNK & DESTROY! Thanks to them for carrying so much Outlaw stuff, it means a lot!!!!!!

There's a couple more "It's a Fuckin' Boot" records that are almost in the can, first being the DESTRUTOR live LP from Cleveland '84 from their first show (I think it was opening for SLAYER!). Then there's an ENEMY SOIL one on the way from Rich, it's from the last show we did together at CBGB back in 2001- tentatively appropriately titled "The Nail In The Coffin"!!! Alright! Keep your eyes peeled!

THOR! THOR! THOR!!! There's a lot going on with THOR too, he's playing in LA in April, has a new DVD coming out, all kinds of stuff! Go check out his site if you have a chance, they link is on this site! The "Mutant" CD will hopefully come out this summer or sometime in the near future!

Another idea that's being tossed around is that I'd like to do a "tribute" to one of the great NY Metal comps- the NY Metal '84 album- that featured BLACK LACE, CITIES, VIRGIN STEELE, and so many more.... and so Lino (Villains) and I have been talking and trying to figure out what NY bands to get on it! We want to put VILLAINS and BATTLETORN on there, and are still considering what else will be included. But there are plans to do the tribute ALL the way down to the front cover photo, for which I plan to participate! I will have to grow my hair a little more and be put wrapped in a gym towel for it though ... totally classic!

What else... well, we saw KREATOR on Sunday, that was AMAZING- they played for like 1.5 hours which was almost thrash overload but not quite! Go see them if they come to your town! And tonight JOAN JETT is playing some private free show in the city.. and for those of you who know me and my RUNAWAYS fixation you know it's always good to see any of these ladies rock it!

Wow, that was a LOT! Alright, hope this new "news" technique is more helpful and informative! Rage on!!!!!!!

The Rods - reunion show!

We made the voyage to Cortland to see the RODS reunion show yesterday, ARRRRGGGHHHH!!!!! It was great! I put up the pictures from the trip right here, click on this link!!!!!! They played about 15 songs and totally killed! The new tune "69 Magnum" was a ripper too! WOW!!

Outlaw Photo archives!

Here's a BUNCH of pictures I've accumulated over the years of shows, friends, records, travels, all kinds of stuff! Some of it pretty amusing!! Here's the link!!!!!!

Metal Ron is an Outlaw!

Why didn't this happen 5 years ago?!?! Don't know why it's taken us this long to figure out that Metal Ron (some have other nicknames for him, or may just call him Ron, but to me he is Metal Ron!) needs to be a part of Outlaw Recordings! What is he gonna do? A&R!!!!!! Outlaw now has an A&R guy! I don't even really know what it stands for, but it sounds cool and I think it means the guy who goes out and finds bands for the label!

We were hanging out last week at a show and just got to talking about music and life as we always do, and it just dawned on me! You can see the joy on our faces above minutes after this revelation was made!!! Metal Ron has been in the scene and a music fan FOREVER so he knows his shit and is perfect for this! First duty is to find a good old NYHC release I hope, or maybe those WINTER demos! Those who know me know how highly I think of this guy and how much I talk about him, so I'm really pumped about this! Can't wait to see what he pulls out of the freaking vaults!

Place of Skulls CD-EP - available now!

The"Love Through Blood" CD-EP contains 4 unreleased tracks, you know what to expect! It came out looking and sounding great! Very happy about this one!!! Victor wrote up the story behind this one, so check it out on the POS page! Place of Skulls broke up, but then they didn't, and now they're going to Europe in April for a tour!! Check their site for details! And also, the VICTOR GRIFFIN "Late For An Early Grave" CD is at the plant now being pressed and should be ready in a couple weeks!

This CD-EP is available for $8 (+ postage)

Northern Lights

The first collaberation between Outlaw Recordings and Maniacal Records (Metal Mike P's label from VA) is set to come out soon. I wish it was under more festive circumstances, but in a way it is... and will be a celebration of a ruler and his love for all things HEAVY METAL!!!! The NORTHERN LIGHTS demo from '93 was recorded and released by a friend of ours who recently passed away. Musically it's total basement metal, literally, which has touches of traditional metal, doom, and even some black metal parts. And when I say 'black metal' I mean the real shit, like Hellhammer/Bathory influenced- not the tender second wave of black metal that all sounded like static to me!

It will be in an edition of 200 probably, and again, I'm really happy that Metal Mike P and I are finally joining forces for a release!

Five Freaking Years!

It's hard to believe, but January, 2005 marked 5 years of Outlaw Recordings! Thanks to everyone involved for so many great releases, good times, and the friendship... the best is yet to come!

VICTOR GRIFFIN "Late For An Early Grave" CD on the way!

This is a monster release that's was in the works for almost 4 years! An LP of unreleased demos recorded through the years by Victor Griffin, a purveyor of the modern doom guitar sound!! His work in the bands PENTAGRAM, DEATH ROW, and PLACE OF SKULLS has been recognized worldwide as some of the heaviest, killer doom ever created! But there was more to the story, some material that had been circulating among fans for years has now finally being committed to a more concrete form than a 10th generation dubbed cassette tape!

I can't put into words how excited and happy I am about this release, and the response to the LPwas incredible- sold out fast! There are many original songs, one featuring Wino, and demo versions of PENTAGRAM classics. Also a few covers of classics by MOTORHEAD and the DEAD BOYS! The material speaks volumes, and the photos and liner notes provide the masses with a clear perspective on Victor's amazing career in music! The CD version of this with 2 bonus tracks is at the plant right now, and will be available in the next couple weeks!

RANCID DECAY: the boys from back home!

It's out!!! An LP of the first two demos by these Maryland thrashers from '86 & '87- which are just total krushers! Musically, it's in the vein of old SACRIFICE (Canada) and THE ACCUSED- bands of that type. And the art for this is sick, check out the cover! Best news is that they have reformed also, and will be playing out again REAL soon I hope! There's a great review of the RANCID DECAY album that Rob from DOOMED PLANET RECORDS did, check the RANCID DECAY page for that! And for ordering, see catalog page for details!

This LP is limited to 500 #'ed copies, comes housed in a beautiful glossy sleeve w/ an inner sleeve too, and it's only $10 (+ postage)!

BOULDER "Unleased in the Midwest" LP out!!!:

The first in the "It's a Fuckin' Boot" series is done! It's the BOULDER "Unleashed in the Midwest" album, and it kills! Limited to 220 copies with TOTALLY old school bootleg packaging, it is sure to please the fans of this bunch of degenerates from Cleveland! There are no less than 7 different sleeves on 5 different colors of paper, so don't bother trying to collect 'em all! It'll cost ya $10 (+ postage), you know, your average BOOT price!

THOR "Mutant" CD in the works!

With both versions of the vinyl sold out, THOR and I decided to put a few more tracks together and do a CD version of the "Mutant" album! It's going to have 4 more songs and a BBC interview from '84 on it! This should be awesome, keep your eyes peeled!

Check out this review of "Mutant" from KNAC!

Outlaw Photo Gallery Finally Up!

What inspired me to do this? Seeing BLACKLACE on Sunday night!

Check it out!

More to come as time permits... like the pix of me meeting Uli Jon Roth!

IF ONLY "Destiny" CD is here!

This is big news for Outlaw- the first CD in quite sometime! It's a 17 song 75 minute CD of unreleased IF ONLY material featuring their original singer Jackie Bodimead (ex-Girlschool)! It features the original version of the "No Bed Of Roses" album with Jackie on vocals, along with a bunch of demo/radio session tracks from this era! I can't tell you how excited I am about this one, it's devastating! This is totally over the top arena metal that just SOARS! Songs so catchy you'll have to beat them out of your head!!!!!

It's here, and ready to go!! In an effort to make sure these get out there and people actually hear these tunes finally, the direct price for these if ordered from the site is just $5 (+ postage)! So I hope some people take a chance on a band who really should have taken over! There's a great new review of this LP by Powerplay magazine on the IF ONLY page for this release!

IT'S A FUCKIN' BOOT!!!:

A new project is being launched, a live album series which will be called "It's A Fuckin' Boot!". Of course they won't really be bootlegs since the bands will be involved. The title of the series is based on yet another inside joke about a certain record dealer who was convinced that everything was a bootleg! I guess now it won't be an inside joke anymore though as it's going public! These LP releases will be modeled after the old 70's style bootleg LPs that had paste on insert covers and uch. The first LP in this series will be a live ripper by BOULDER entitled "Unleased In The Midwest"! Got the test pressings for this, sounds GREAT!

UNDERCOVER BANGERS" series:

I've been wanting to do some super limited acetate 45s, and I think this is where it's going to start.

The first one, which will be an OCTOBER 31 single with their live versions of songs by MOTLEY CRUE and RIOT! King cut the master for these tunes for me this weekend as we hung out and he hooked me up with a RODS jersey! I love this guy, one of the few and true!

I got the BOULDER tracks too, which are two raging SAXON covers from two different "basement" sessions!

These have been in the works for a while, but I'm working on getting the label art straight for these, and then will be sending them off to the pressing place! They are being sent next week (it's 12/17 now), and I've decided to do these in editions of 25 copies each! Why? Because they're acetates, and acetates don't need to be mass produced. This series is for the few and true who dig it and want to have some fun! They will probably be around $8-10 each, so ultra kult and for the diehards only!!!! It is 3/26, and the discs for this just arrived this week! I still have to make the covers... nothing is speedy over here right!?!?!

MIDNIGHT: gone, but shall return!!

MIDNIGHT... the LP is gone. Then came a three way joint release between SHIFTY RECORDS, MY MIND'S EYE, and OUTLAW, it's gone now too. But there is a CD in the works...

In the meantime, check it out, click here for: "All Hail Hell"!

LONG LIVE DEATH!!!

VYNDYKATOR regular vinyl version is gone!

Well, it was a long time coming, but the black vinyl version of the "Heaven Sent From Hell" album got done, it came, and went! It's sold out through me, but my distributor may have copies if you missed out- check them out at Scratch Records!

It only gets better at Outlaw!

This is a picture of Chris, he's a total ruler who knows how to type (and do a few other things) on the computer, so of course I was overjoyed when he volunteered to help out with doing layouts on these next few releases we're getting together! This guy is awesome, and as you can see from the picture, he's totally made for the Outlaw Crew!

Thank you to Scratch Distribution!

There's a great label/distribution company out of Vancouver that I wanted to say thank you to on here! They (especially Keith and Danny!) have been super cool, and distributed the THOR album for me to people/places I never could have reached! They are going to be carrying the VYNDYKATOR album soon too! Check them out via this link, they have a TON of stuff on their site! Click Here! Thanks guys!
